From where I stand…

I guess we went on “vacation”. Our oldest arrived home sick and then we all got sick so hubby and I were taking turns taking care of everyone. Thankfully we are starting to feel better and have been getting some things done.

From where I stand…

Nettles, sick and sad toddler, broccoli raab, leek and potato soup, elderflower mullien lemon balm tea with raw honey. Fresh eggs, a flooded back yard, extra straw, kitchen scraps, squirrels that eat our young plant starts. Appointments canceled, things that can’t be canceled, realizing you forgot to pick up your strawberries last week, feeling sheepish. Cleavers are ready! White wine, thawing ground beef, knitting, making plans for the weekend, Spring is coming, tinctures: garlic ginger and turmeric..How is your Tuesday going?

From where I stand…

We reached 100 blog posts yesterday! Wow! I’m glad that writing is still part of my everyday life in this world where it’s too easy to not do these things every day.

Indigo is sick, AGAIN! Poor buddy 🙁 poor parents up all night taking turns holding him upright so he can breathe. Today he seems a little better.

Thank you again to friends and family offering up support with food and herbal remedies we will get through another cold.

Jimjam day again. Too much TV. Lots of fluids, tea and soup.

Kids (2yo and up) immune support tea: In a quart jar add a heaping spoonful of raw honey, 2Ts elderflowers, 2Ts of mullien, 1T of lemon balm. Steep for 15 min. Pour over ice and sip with your little sickies.

From where I stand…

We have been so sick and just hanging on but we are starting to turn the corner on this flu virus that is making its way through our valley.

Indigo healed up the fastest then my Hubby. I unfortunately have the persistent respiratory cough that doesn’t allow for much sleep and is very slow to heal. Thank the goddess for good friends!!!

Our friends and community continue to surround us with love and care. I’m not surprised, we have all invested in each other. It’s not easy being community because we all come from different places yet we find our way through all the and support each other.

I am continually humbled by the generosity of others.

Keep taking care of each other!
