From where I stand…

I guess we went on “vacation”. Our oldest arrived home sick and then we all got sick so hubby and I were taking turns taking care of everyone. Thankfully we are starting to feel better and have been getting some things done.

From where I stand…

Indigo had an eye exam today for his eye that turns in. Alignment looks great so it’s a false turn. No glasses are needed at this time.

He was so sad to have to go to yet another appointment but once he realized he wouldn’t get a needle jab he was fine.

These sensitive kiddos need a little extra extra emotional support. I’m so thankful for a community that stands up to help in that.

Nettles, sick and sad toddler, broccoli raab, leek and potato soup, elderflower mullien lemon balm tea with raw honey. Fresh eggs, a flooded back yard, extra straw, kitchen scraps, squirrels that eat our young plant starts. Appointments canceled, things that can’t be canceled, realizing you forgot to pick up your strawberries last week, feeling sheepish. Cleavers are ready! White wine, thawing ground beef, knitting, making plans for the weekend, Spring is coming, tinctures: garlic ginger and turmeric..How is your Tuesday going?

It was another hard day. Too many things to do and among other things, subjecting my kid to another appointment with an X-ray. He’s had so many X-rays in his short little life. It’s so hard on my mama heart…tomorrow has got to get better.

Thank goodness for my hubby, for my Sis and for friends who get us through it all <3

This quote says a lot of what we go through every week, sometimes every day.

Its a good life advocating for our youngest and its hard. It’s exhausting some days. Our friends and family get us through the really hard stuff but the little stuff chips away. I try to be a rock, strong and solid.

Even rocks get worn down by the river. Some day I’ll be shining and polished.

Humbled…

I just scheduled three appointments and am now blogging about it all from my cell phone while we road trip to get my oldest Mr. Treetrunk for the weekend.

I’m thinking of all the trailblazer parents and caregivers who did this without technology. Thank you!

Let’s keep advocating and taking care of each other.

TGIF!

Today was really hard. Indigo had his yearly well child visit with his Pediatrician. What does this mean? I explained a lot of things that I have to explain and talk about often while the doctor ticked off boxes. This is hard for me. This is my kid and he’s amazing and I need to advocate for him and articulate things about him that I never thought would need explaining.

So although it was a hard day it was also a good day. A day we grow together and learn and push on.
